Choose which supplier values belong on the Item
Feednaro discovers supported, writable custom fields on your existing ERPNext Item definition. You select the fields that the connection may update. Supplier price, reported availability, minimum order and product name can be mapped to compatible custom fields, keeping ownership explicit instead of letting a feed overwrite an entire item.
These are informational supplier values. ERPNext continues to own warehouse stock, valuation, purchasing documents and native Item Price records through its established workflows. Configure the custom fields for the information your team wants to see alongside an item.
| Source value | Compatible custom field | Review before activation |
|---|---|---|
| Unit price | Currency | An explicit currency matching the selected offer |
| Supplier availability | Number | Supplier-reported quantity and the expected unit |
| Minimum order | Number | The minimum quantity for this offer |
| Product name | Text | Whether this supplier should own the chosen field |
Match existing items before anything changes
Choose EAN or supplier SKU as the source matching value and a supported Item identifier as the destination, such as the item code, barcode or an available custom text field. A missing item or ambiguous match is reported for review and is not written. Several source records resolving to the same target also need a clear resolution.
For prices, the destination field must have an explicit currency matching the selected offer currency. The transfer checks that condition and preserves it while updating the price; it does not select an exchange rate or convert the source amount.
Connect, map, preview and activate
Connect an ERPNext account with the necessary Item access, choose your eligible source offers, then select the matching and field settings. Preview reads the destination and shows proposed changes without writing them. Review unmatched records, field validation and the current values before activating the configuration.
A completed preview belongs to the settings and source data it checked. Changing those inputs requires a new preview. Large selections prepare in batches with progress, allowing you to return to the same preparation while its settings and data remain current.
Review confirmed results and connection limits
After activation, transfer activity separates confirmed updates from records still being verified or needing attention. Success requires a readback from the target. Uncertain results are reconciled before a retry, and records already completed remain completed. You can pause scheduling when the connection needs review; an already dispatched request may still finish.
